He said get the typhoon as it sounds awesome on my car, but �250 for a mandrel bent pipe ? hmmm not sure about that one.

I suspect it had a lot more to do with underbonnet temperatures than anything else. If it's not a GTI, sell it and get a GTI. At the end of the day, a GTI is the only fairly quick MK4 Golf barring the R32...

Plan on keeping it for a good few years and just thought I'd tinker and bit in my spare time.
