I as chatting to one of the guys I know down Awesome GTI and he reckons on
my cars theres very little point coughing up 250 on a K&N typhoon which is
the best bet in his opinion second is the pipercross but he may be biased
towards K&N as they stock and fit there products. He said get the typhoon as
it sounds awesome on my car, but 250 for a mandrel bent pipe ? hmmm not
sure about that one.

Lol. I suspect it had a lot more to do with underbonnet temperatures than
anything else. It's not too hard to lose loads of hp when you're over 500
bhp :-p

PS, don't rest your case there, it'll melt.

If it's a GTI, get it chipped. If it's a 2.0 GTI, sell it and get a GTI...
If it's not a GTI, sell it and get a GTI. At the end of the day, a GTI is
the only fairly quick MK4 Golf barring the R32...

hehe so you reckon a GTI then. Its only a humble 1.6 01 model. Plan on
keeping it for a good few years and just thought I'd tinker and bit in my
spare time.
