BS. Has never been true either of the 2 places I've worked as an
engineer. Any gov't engineer can quit the gov't and have instantly
higher salary in the private sector.

"productivity" ...believe it or not .. includes re-building homes
after a hurricane... or putting in a new highway that is a convenience
but not a necessity... and producing thousands of useless military
items that got upgraded and no longer used.

much of what the govt does is contracted out.

but you're really confused about "producing" ..... a 2 liter coke
get's "produced" as well as a military canteen. Both items are
recorded as part of GDP.

a porno film is counted as GDP as well as plastic horns used at soccer
matches.
