It's better than the alternative of needing government permission to do
everything. Considering that our dear leaders have decided they can put
up immigration checkpoints to check our papers within a 100 miles of a
boarder. Probably has increased since I last checked.

You want to stop illegal immigration? Do three things:
1) Get rid of the socialism.
2) Get rid of the imposed costs of labor (minimum wage, social security
ponzi scheme, etc and so on).
3) End corporate and (never ending) individual welfare.

This eliminates the attraction and will make the lower rungs of the job
ladder once again available to american teenagers and other low skilled
workers.

Optionally Mexico and other nations from which large numbers of illegal
immigrants come from could have their free markets restored and
economically disasterous governments replaced and then there would
really be no reason to come here.
