I like the scowly/smiley face one - I think that that is more effective than the Big Brother means of speed limiting. McK.

Does anyone know if this is a correct assumption? They do monitor speed but the radar module used is fairly simple to keep cost down and not particularly accurate. As with car speedometers they are set so they will _always_ warn you if you are above the limit so if their accuracy is say +/- 5mph then they will be set to trigger at 55MPH for a 60MPH limit and will alert you at a speed somewhere between 50 and 60 MPH depending upon the individual module error.

Same area as me - and I've not seen any of 'em.

I passed one today. My speedo said 31MPH, my SatNav said 30MPH and the sign lit up in green saying 26MPH. I speeded up and the sign flashed a red 31MPH at me when I reached 34MPH on the Sat Nav display! Adam
