Well...

Do I want to have engaged in a pointless stunt? No.

Do I want to be on the news and chat shows? No.

Do I want public adulation? No.

Do I want to meet the Prime Minister and state Premier? Most definitely not.

Do I want to get rich? Um, OK, I do. But that's not why I want a Jessica
free day.

Sylvia.

Better tell us all why

They might not have a garage full of Ferrari's, but they're clearly
not picking up food parcels at St. Vinny's

Makes them unlike most average Australians.

He knows nothing about sailing yachts.

You should try something challenging then...Like sailing around the
world in a small boat solo.....Of course you will have an advantage
over Miss Watson, You are older and possibly stronger.

Fair enough...I doubt they'd have any wish to meet you.

Oh well...you should live in Sydney.. I don't recall a mention of her
here in any news I've read.

Why does someone have to be jealous just because they have an alternate
opinion or skepticism about what is happening. Others get branded as having
a "tall poppy syndrome". If you have an opinion about Aborigine's then
you're racist, if you comment against the global warming religion you become
a denialist, and worse. It's the trouble with so many things as proper
debate is stifled by idiots who brand others with these type of titles.

Personally I'm tired of these type of stunts that have more to do with
personal gain as the intended result. Sailing isn't the only area where this
is taking place as there's all sorts of re-creations of a lot of historical
events. In each case it's increasingly done with higher levels of safety
through technology etc so that there ends up with far less of personal risk
that those who originally did it. If someone just wants to do it as a
personal achievement then OK, just go ahead and do it, just don't go
expecting people to fawn all over you for what was a personal choice. Maybe
it has something to do with the limited media up this way but in the case of
JW I can't recall anything worthwhile in the way of publicity that she may
have been doing the trip for in relation to raising money or awareness for
any worthwhile social cause other that herself. There are many sports people
and others that when doing public events will ensure that the reason for
doing so is constantly being pushed in publicity. Then there are others who
are constantly raising money for worthwhile causes with very little
recognition.

One of the worst example of credit being given where it is least deserved is
in the yearly honours or queens birthday handouts. Most of the recipients
were just doing what they were paid for. Sadly it's probably that JW will be
getting one of them.
