The gantry cameras, I believe, are not yet active and are to enforce the
variable speed limit when the works are complete, like the M42/M25.

The 50 limit, last time I used that stretch, was enforced by SPECS.

I wonder why they face the rear of the car and not the front so they show
who was driving? Do the cameras on the M25 face the rear of the cars too?

Catch motorbikes too - the fastest and most vulnerable things on motorways!
