Southern Shandy Drinking Puffs
Well, its official. Snow has hit the South East. You can tell it has even if you've not watched the weather forecast by the fact the BBC has seen fit to interrupt telly with a "BBC News Special" about it of 45 minutes this morning and 30 minutes tonight. This was no doubt to let the rest of the country know tha... 10 Jan 2010 18:37
News Reports Exaggerating Weather Conditions
Why do they do it? It's nothing like as bad out there as they say it is. They seem to go out of their way to find some dark valley somewhere where the snow is 6 feet deep or some muppet who's been stuck in the snow since yesterday. It would be nice if they put the truth before a good story. Not much chance ... 7 Jan 2010 13:36

From my own personal experience over the past few days it has been predominantly female drivers who are having most difficulties. If there is someone stuck at the green traffic light with their driven... 9 Jan 2010 17:27
continental driving
I'm thinking about taking myself off on a tour of western Europe a bit later in the year, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium etc. Can anyone point me at useful sources of info regarding driving requirements and cheap places to stay? Any pointers to potential pitfalls would be useful as well. ... 9 Jan 2010 04:16
Towing a car and hazard warning lights
Every time I see a car being towed the towed car has its hazard lights on whilst being pulled along. Motorists driving behind it are unable to clearly see the indicator lights of the leading car and can have no idea if the car is going to change direction. I don't know why the person sitting in the towed car... 26 Dec 2009 07:53
Driving with sidelights in built-up areas?
What exactly are the rules in regard to lights? Quite often you see London taxis (particularly the older ones) driving around using only 10W (?) sidelights. ... 20 Dec 2009 09:16
Ford Fiesta Auto Wipe
Hello Does any one know if/how to deselect the auto-wipe feature on a 2008 Ford Fiesta Zetec? According to the manual, the first position on the stalk should select either intermittent or auto windscreen wipe, however it doesn't make it clear whether this is an option or is fixed depending on whether or not... 14 Dec 2009 15:31
