Indicisive pillock
Just where the M62 east bound splits into five separate lanes to go west (M62), north(M1), or south(M1) I was in L1 to go north. In L2 to go south and well ahead of me was a little Alpha. Five times he swapped from L1 to L2 and back again with no indications, settling (so I thought on L2). L1 by this time was ... 23 Nov 2009 17:34
Lack of arm signals
I can't remember the last time I saw a driver use an arm signal. I use them occasionally. Is it a forgotten art or do drivers not bother anymore? Bod ... 30 Nov 2009 18:08

Getting pushed back in your seat
Trying to top the poll of the most boring or stupid question.. How powerful does a car need to be to ‘push you back in your seat’ I seem to remember the acceleration from a friends Vauxhall cavalier 2.0 16v was when I first noticed it(which was about 130bhp). I guess higher torque causes the sensation more than h... 6 Oct 2009 17:10
What are the mph settings for speed cameras?
I regularly see people driving at 40mph through speed cameras in a 30mph zone in north-west London, but the cameras do not go off. Also people drive at 90mph through the cameras on the M25, where the limit is 70mph. What is the real speed limit at which the cameras are set? ... 13 Sep 2009 15:06
Car battery jump-starting gizmo?
Do you really see a little glove-compartment sized battery turning over the starter motor on a car? Starer motors draw around 80A. That's why jump leads are thick heavy wires. Is that little flex and a cigarette lighter socket going to pass 80A? Still - it can probably deliver enough juice so you can liste... 8 Sep 2009 11:29
Failed MOT
Had my car in for it's yearly service & MOT today, it failed. As the current MOT does not run out till the 4th of Jan what is the legal position of driving it till then? Can't get the car in to do the repairs until next Monday but may want to drive over Xmas. Going to cost 400 plus two new tyres (not illegal ... 25 Dec 2008 23:03

Should I or shouldn't I?
Some of you may recall that on 30 April 2007 I was knocked off my bicycle by a White Van Driver rurning right to reach a parking bay on the right side of the road. At the time the traffic was either slow moving or stationary and I was overtaking on the right, and well out into the right lane of the road which was ... 20 Aug 2008 14:56
Car detailed with Zaino
For those interested in having a good finish on the car, I thought I would give the Zaino polishes and detail sprays a go. Very nice products to use and they give a really nice finish. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ray.keattch/Car/zaino/ZainoDetail/ -- MrBitsy Rover 75 CDTi ... 30 Jun 2008 09:38
