It seems to be standard practice amongst small time tradesmen, to not be
adverse to taking cash for jobs and failing to forward the VAT element to
HMRC. They also fail to declare these little cash jobs for income tax and
NI. The same people will undoubtedly be declaring their vehicle cost
(including VED) as a bona fide business expense and evading tax even
further.

I do not think that these people have any right to complain about law
abiding, tax paying road users.

It's about time these tax thieves started paying their way...

He was speaking for himself, Firth is a regular poster.

I have oatmeal to thank for that.

The more sinister issue is that if someone takes offence at his comments
about dead cyclists, perhaps someone who has lost a family member, their
spouse, or child in a cycling accident, they might be tempted to seek
revenge.
