Apparently, when I pointed out that the taxes that motorists pay do
not in any way pay for the *true costs* of their damage to society,
which included health costs as you have shown, it was denounced as
"eco clap trap". It seems to them that *any* costs other than pure
road building and repair costs comes for free. The CBI's estimate of
£20 billion costs to society from congestion alone was similarly
dismissed.
